In an alternate biblical history, the war between angels and demons is unending and brutal.
First Creation Mars Adler
Amitiel, an angel of God, and Stolas, a fallen angel-turned-spy, should be enemies. However, after they uncover a shocking secret that drives them to desert, they go on the run together in modern-day America. Both are injured, and it’s only by chance that they stumble upon a long-abandoned church.
Ensconced in the alluring, stifling church with a forgotten cemetery and too many peach trees, they finally have time to heal. They also have time to think and plan, which is as much a blessing as it is a curse.
Amitiel must come to terms with his strange hunger and forbidden desires, while Stolas plans their next move. They both grapple with the knowledge of where their food rations came from, and that something is very wrong in the heart of Heaven itself. God has vanished, and if he isn’t giving the orders, who is condoning the atrocities the angels commit in the name of winning?
FIRST CREATION is an erotic horror novella. It is a love letter to fallen angels, rediscovering religion in a way that works for you, queer rage, and hunger of all kinds. It deals with some very heavy themes and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. For a full list of content warnings please check the author’s website.

A collection of stories, poetry, and art dedicated to the angelic.
Devout: An Anthology of Angels ed. Quinton Li
Featuring work by Dorian Yosef Weber, Angela Sun, Ian Haramaki, Tyler Battaglia, Daniel Marie James, Morgan Dante, Cas Trudeau, Aurélio Loren, Rae Novotny, Rafael Nicolás & Emily Hoffman.
A collection of stories, poetry, and art dedicated to the angelic.
Here you will find the strange, the creepy, the funky, slightly silly, pieces with feeling. An experience buried deep inside, it might be from another dimension. Something questionable that makes you wonder if your first impression of the world is accurate enough to trust.
Or maybe something human — too human.
How about a feeling between a feeling? Longing, yearning. Conflict between moral and love. World between worlds.
Above all — angelic.
Are we what angels make of us, or are angels what we make of them?

“The thirteen emblems given to the original rulers weren’t just symbols. They’re keys to the Vault—one that no one’s ever opened.”
The Thirteenth Key Cara Nox
The chaotic crew of heisting misfits in Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows meets the familiar yet fantastical, modern landscape found in Robert Jackson Bennett’s City of Stairs.
“The thirteen emblems given to the original rulers weren’t just symbols. They’re keys to the Vault—one that no one’s ever opened.”
Noa has lived her life as an unsuspecting, ID-burning, face in the crowd that disposes of “problems” for her miscellaneous, secretive employers. So, when Noa’s surrogate father—a Seer—hands her a long-lost emblem, telling her with his dying breath that it’s her responsibility to reignite magic, she laughs at the idea that the fate of their world rests on the shoulders of a killer. Instead, she uses his words and the key he gave her as an excuse to go on one final suicide mission to seek out the power supposedly waiting for her to annihilate his murderer.
Prince Glacier Caelius has lived his life trapped inside a gilded cage, pushed down by the ever-present threat of death as the bastard son of Amarais’s late king. But when the rebels attack during a nationalist party, Glacier’s rescued by none other than Noa and her merry band of thieves, who are scrambling to salvage a failed attempt at stealing his country’s emblem: the Soul of Amarais. When the dust settles, he’s the only person left alive to unlock the palace vault and give the Soul to Noa in exchange for saving his life.
Well, once they’re able to formulate a plan to take the palace back.
Struggling with their tentative, newfound freedom, Noa and Glacier must learn to work together to survive the urban landscape of Avaria’s greatest cities fortified by technology in the wake of dwindling magic. The goal: steal as many keys as they can before their pasts catch up. But the further they go, the more they realize that something worse may be lurking on the horizon, and they may very well be the only ones able to stop it.

Trick Cara Nox
Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series meets V.E. Schwab’s The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue with a dash of Disney+’s Loki in this new adult urban fantasy.
WELCOME TO NEW ATLAS: A CITY WITHIN A REALITY JUST BEYOND OUR OWN.
Evie is a nobody. Spending her days in college classes and her nights studying, having a social life has never really been a priority. With her sights firmly set on the future to keep away her thoughts of the past, she loses her grip on the present when her world is ripped out from under her. And it’s all thanks to two mysterious strangers showing up on her doorstep, claiming that she can turn back time.
Cade is a notorious troublemaker. He’s never been afraid to throw around his name to get what he wants as someone who’s clawed his way to the top. But power is quick to change hands in this city, and when he chooses to blatantly disregard an order from his leader, his older brother, he’s tossed back down to the bottom again. He’ll be more than lucky to regain any sort of trust when everyone knows he’s one of the best spies there is, sliding in and out of shadows in the blink of an eye.
Ren is a bored teenager. Always labeled as the “golden child” or “gifted student,” he finds himself writing down cryptic messages and following strange leads, rather than putting on the same old song and dance for his family. Especially once he discovers his little stolen fragments of the future are starting to take a darker turn. Perhaps chasing the life everyone wants him to have isn’t necessarily in the cards for him, but there’s only one way to find out.
So when someone within the secret society known as the Custodians targets Evie for her power, the clock starts in the final sprint to hunt down the culprit. In order to uncover whatever hidden clues are lurking in the past, the three of them have no choice but to peel back the layers of obscurity built up between their factions to figure out why she’s being hunted and how they might be able to fix their bleak futures before it’s too late.
Just remember: time is nothing but a trick.

A story following Icarus as he takes a look behind the curtain of the Elysian Program and sees the disgusting framework that he was disillusioned to. Now the only thing on his mind is bringing down the program and the entire ATLAS corporation. Will he be able to when the world seems set against him?
Δάιος Andromeda Ruins
A queer and anti-establishment retelling of the fall of Icarus.
The Elysians are here to protect us. They uphold order, they keep citizens safe… unless you are their kid. When you are the child of an Elysian you get to see what they are truly like. You get to see their fears, their anger, their hatred. You get to be subjected to their wants and whims. Most importantly, you get to be trained by the ‘best of the best’ to become an Elysian yourself. At least that’s what we were told. We weren’t told what that training would cost us. What it would do to our bodies and our minds. How it would make us into what the Elysians really are, mindless abominations.
These monsters are in every corner of our society. They are heralded as Gods among men, but not for long. I am doing everything in my power to show who they really are behind their masks. Soon, everyone will see these nasty creatures for what they are…

Prepare to die. His kingdom is near.
A furious, queer debut novel about embracing the monster within and unleashing its power against your oppressors.
Hell Followed With Us Andrew Joseph White
Sixteen-year-old trans boy Benji is on the run from the cult that raised him—the fundamentalist sect that unleashed Armageddon and decimated the world’s population. Desperately, he searches for a place where the cult can’t get their hands on him, or more importantly, on the bioweapon they infected him with.
But when cornered by monsters born from the destruction, Benji is rescued by a group of teens from the local Acheson LGBTQ+ Center, affectionately known as the ALC. The ALC’s leader, Nick, is gorgeous, autistic, and a deadly shot, and he knows Benji’s darkest secret: the cult’s bioweapon is mutating him into a monster deadly enough to wipe humanity from the earth once and for all.
Still, Nick offers Benji shelter among his ragtag group of queer teens, as long as Benji can control the monster and use its power to defend the ALC. Eager to belong, Benji accepts Nick’s terms… until he discovers the ALC’s mysterious leader has a hidden agenda, and more than a few secrets of his own.

It isn’t until the strongest angel, Michael, comes into his life that Lucifer learns to love himself. Along the way, their friendship begins to bloom into something else. Maybe the first romance in the history of everything.
But this God is a jealous one, and maybe paradise is not paradise.

I DNF’d this book for many reasons, the most prominent being the way disability is used as a plot device but ignored otherwise and because it was incorrectly marketed to me as a Hades/Persephone retelling. A found family of queer pirates attempt to overthrow the oppressive regime of their country.
The Shifting Tides Sabel
Sixty years ago, the royal family of Askana was murdered in a coup, and the new leaders forced oppression on the holindal, a race of shapeshifters. After being accused of a crime he didn’t commit, Saran Turakina is separated from his family and forced to flee with Viridian Khezkila, the charming captain of the Wildling pirates. Viridian has more secrets than he’s letting on, and it doesn’t take long for Saran to learn there’s more to the oppression of the holindal than the monarchy is letting on to. But if violence is the only way of stopping the oppressive regime, then doesn’t that make Saran just like them? And if so, how will he stop them without losing his soul in the process?

Saran Turakina
Viridian Khezkila
Oh boy where to start. Firstly, this takes place in a world where magic exists, but in very mundane forms. It’s small things like weaving blankets that always smell of lavender, it could manifest in super luck (never twisting your ankle, for example), it could even be bad things like constantly being a lightning rod. The most powerful “mages” are the holindal, who were cursed long ago to forever be bound to the forms of beasts, but they’ve turned it into a blessing. But unfortunately, being the only powerful magic users will make you into the target of very powerful people who want your skills for themselves. As such, the kingdom of Askana has placed heavy laws that oppress them. Most holindal actually refuse to shift anymore due to this, and try to live their lives as “normal humans”.
Saran Turakina: a holindal. Constantly anxious and even depressed, but severely determined as well. He’s actually only half-holindal, as his mother is the one with the powers while his father is fully human (but he does have the power to always make perfect tea). Saran’s parents were actually really supportive of the fact he’s a trans man! His dad always wanted a son, and his mother just wants him to be happy. Despite his anxiety, Saran is deeply loyal to his friends, willing to give up his life for them. He’s specifically in a QPR with two of his friends.
Viridian Khezkila: the dreaded pirate captain who calls himself the Duke of the Seas. Despite his prickly exterior, he really does have a heart of gold once you get to know him. He loves his crew like they’re his family, and tries his best not to let innocents get caught up in all of his raiding. Both of his parents were pirate captains before him, and he wants to follow in their footsteps. He enjoys the thrill of the sea, and actually seeks out danger whenever he can.
A Victorian murder mystery with a lesbian romance.
Fingersmith Sarah Waters
Sue Trinder is an orphan, left as an infant in the care of Mrs. Sucksby, a “baby farmer,” who raised her with unusual tenderness, as if Sue were her own. Mrs. Sucksby’s household, with its fussy babies calmed with doses of gin, also hosts a transient family of petty thieves—fingersmiths—for whom this house in the heart of a mean London slum is home.
One day, the most beloved thief of all arrives—Gentleman, an elegant con man, who carries with him an enticing proposition for Sue: If she wins a position as the maid to Maud Lilly, a naïve gentlewoman, and aids Gentleman in her seduction, then they will all share in Maud’s vast inheritance. Once the inheritance is secured, Maud will be disposed of—passed off as mad, and made to live out the rest of her days in a lunatic asylum.
With dreams of paying back the kindness of her adopted family, Sue agrees to the plan. Once in, however, Sue begins to pity her helpless mark and care for Maud Lilly in unexpected ways…But no one and nothing is as it seems in this Dickensian novel of thrills and reversals.

This is the first in a possible series. It’s been in my head for several years now but I hope to finish it this year. The overall setting is kind of dark steampunk, but most of the story of Black Velvet takes place in Black Velvet Castle, mostly during a violent storm. Black Velvet Castle was owned by vampires prior to the human rebellion and is the sight of one of the Goddess’ appearances. Now it’s the home of the Obedience family, or at least it will be once it’s repaired.
Owen makes friends with many of the residents and feels protective over them once the Scarred Man takes over. Legend says there was a skilled vampire tactician, his name lost to history, who lived within the walls. His rival, a human, was the only one who knew how to defeat him. In the end they killed each other within the castle, leaving only the vampire’s locket (a shield over the heart, the vampire’s only weakness) and his many journals as proof they ever existed.
Owen is challenged by both Lord Aurum and the Scarred Man to find these journals, both believing it to be an impossible task. But Owen is known to take advantage of those who underestimate him. Another locket that’s important is a piece of jewelry sent by Lord Aurum. It allows Lord Aurum to spy on Owen within the castle – and Owen can spy on him in turn. Owen doesn’t have much time though – the Scarred Man plans to take the humans away when the storm ends, Owen along with them. And I would get into stuff about the Goddess humans worship but I don’t think I have enough space or time to do that.
There’s Owen Rosedown, a 19yo detective for hire, and member of the Runners Society of detectives. He’s been a detective since he was 13 and arrived in the capital city of Theria as a homeless runaway. He’s typically gentle in nature and attitude but that’s because he’s too polite and socially anxious to express many of his real feelings. He’s been in love with his employer, Lord Aurum, since they met when he was 15, but his frustration and anger with the upper crust blinds him to his feelings.
Lord Aurum is the leader of the Knight Hunters, powerful in more ways than one. He is the descendant of one of the heroes of the human uprising and inherited their ability to use pure human magic, a power which the vampires tried to wipe out. He takes his job seriously, but his moral code is more questionable than his father before him. He is scheming to marry Owen and take him out of the conflict, for both their sakes.
The Scarred Man is the reincarnation of the husband of the Goddess humans worship. He is calculating but not unnecessarily cruel, confident enough in himself to know that Owen will come to him on his own free will. Humans fear him and for good reason, as he leads the effort to reconquer humanity and the planet itself.
There’s also Locke Hepatica, a tragic widower who was disabled not long before the story begins. He is a musician and artist, still grieving the loss of his beloved wife. Despite his cowardly nature, he is Owen’s mentor.
And last but but least, Nora Brassman, a maid at the castle. She is often overlooked but she becomes fast friends with Owen and helps him through the story. An atheist, she clashes with him about his belief in the Goddess, but never turns her back on him. She’s the smartest character in the story with the strongest moral core.
A trilogy about the political turmoil between two kingdoms, and the personal intrigue between the compelling Prince Laurent and his slave Damen, a former heir to the throne.
Captive Prince C.S. Pacat
Damen is a warrior hero to his people, and the rightful heir to the throne of Akielos. But when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity, and sent to serve the prince of an enemy nation as a pleasure slave.
Beautiful, manipulative, and deadly, his new master, Prince Laurent, epitomizes the worst of the court at Vere. But in the lethal political web of the Veretian court, nothing is as it seems, and when Damen finds himself caught up in a play for the throne, he must work together with Laurent to survive and save his country.
For Damen, there is just one rule: never, ever reveal his true identity. Because the one man Damen needs is the one man who has more reason to hate him than anyone else…

I will not be reading this book due to the constant harassment I have received from the fandom. I have made it abundantly clear that I do not feel comfortable reading a story where a POC love interest is held captive as a sex slave for a white character and I was attacked for that. Any grace I had remaining for this book is gone. I am a firm believer that fiction is not to be held on moral grounds and people can write whatever they want to write but that does not condone the harassment of someone who simply said “this book is not for me”. Check out this review Make your own decisions about this book and read at your own risk, but DO NOT talk to me about it.
A group of gays and disabled individuals band together to save their island from being invaded from within and out.

His cousin, Cherine, wants him to spy on his ex-boyfriend, Ishnar, who is the Major of the Navy and prince of the island, Azure. Cherine has yet to know, but his mental state is slipping, making it difficult to know what’s real and what is a fantasy. Will Azrail be able to form allies to stop his cousin’s evil plans, or will he be forced to minimize the harm she’s committing—once more alone in his efforts to stop his family.

I’m growing rather attached to the Azure plot. It’s a setting similar to one I’ve seen, so it’s fun to write. I have ✨plans✨ for Azure, and it’s a lot of fun to watch my characters grasping power for themselves after being powerless.
Ishnar is probably my favorite out of everyone. He just wants to get by, but he ends up spawning a rebellion. I love seeing people-pleasing babies lose all their shit. Azrail is mentally ill to the point it is debilitating, so writing him is exciting. He doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not, so it’s a bit of a gamble. Wilama is a ball of fire who is done with everyone’s bullshit. It’s great. I love it for him.

During secret meetings in the garden surrounding the pond, Treya and Eli forge a bond that even dark magic can’t break. But when Eli starts asking questions about who and what Treya is, the two of them discover that questions are dangerous, answers have a cost, and their fates depend on unraveling the mystery of Treya’s past.

Whereas Tennal can read minds, Surit can influence them. Like all other neuromodified “architects,” he can impose his will onto others, and he’s under orders to control Tennal by merging their minds.
Surit accepted a suspicious promotion-track request out of desperation, but he refuses to go through with his illegal orders to sync and control an unconsenting Tennal. So they They fake a sync bond and plan Tennal’s escape.
Their best chance arrives with a salvage-retrieval mission into chaotic space―to the very neuromodifcation lab that Surit’s traitor mother destroyed twenty years ago. And among the rubble is a treasure both terrible and unimaginably powerful, one that upends a decades-old power struggle, and begins a war.
Tennal and Surit can no longer abandon their unit or their world. The only way to avoid life under full military control is to complete the very sync they’ve been faking.

Some Divines dealt with more dead at a time. Dealt with souls who simply refused to believe they were dead, and Morgan could hardly handle a single room. He hated it.
Hymn of Memory S. Jean
As the Divine of Blackburn, Morgan sends its departed souls into the afterlife. It’s a sacred job spanning generations of Divines before him, but there’s a problem: the process invites the dead’s memories inside and those memories quickly erode and erase his own. Before long, he fears he will completely lose who he is and no one seems to care.
Then Fin, a familiar face from town, sneaks into Morgan’s room to beg for a resending of his grandmother and Morgan quickly agrees, knowing it means an opportunity to escape.
As escape quickly turns into a road trip with Fin to replace the memories he’s lost, Morgan has to confront what it means if he never returns. Without him to send souls, they die completely, leaving a void in the world where nothing will live or grow. Returning, however, means he will lose himself.
And so, Morgan must decide if never returning and living his life as himself—not the Divine—is worth more than the souls he’s leaving behind.

The Fall That Saved Us Tamara Jerée
Cassiel has given up the family tradition of demon hunting, leaving behind her sacred angelic duty and fated sword. What she can’t leave behind are the scars. To cope, she spends her days immersed in work, pouring all her attention into New Haven Books, her small bookstore and anchor in the new world she’s carved for herself.

When a succubus named Avitue arrives to claim her angel-touched soul, Cassiel’s old hunter instincts flare, forcing her to choose between old knowledge and her truth. What should be a fatal seduction becomes a bargain neither woman expects. As they grow closer, Avitue is surprised to find her own pain reflected in Cassiel, a nephilim deemed fallen by her own family’s standards.
By choosing trust, they reveal the lies that bind them. Falling for each other begins a path towards healing. The Erstwhile Tyler Kyle Steve Hugh Westenra
Tyler Kyle doesn’t believe in monsters.
A washed-up thirty-year-old actor and reluctant cryptid investigator, Tyler is used to playing the Scully to his best friend Josh’s Mulder on their stupidly popular YouTube channel. But when Tyler receives previously unseen footage of the B movie bombshell mother who abandoned him eighteen years ago—footage linked to an isolated island in the Canadian wilderness—the mystery is one conspiracy he’s determined to investigate. The fact that following the scent gives Tyler an excuse to run away from the “straight” Josh, whom he drunkenly made out with, is just the cherry on the shit sundae.
But Echo Island isn’t what it seems. Its eerily scenic veneer hides a twisted secret buried in its roots as a gay conversion camp, and as Tyler retraces his mother’s footsteps, he discovers a supernatural connection between the residents and the island—one they seem to think Tyler and his mother share.
Even worse, the footage of Tyler’s mom came from someone on the island–a stalker whose obsessive fascination with both Tyler and Josh is about to make Tyler wish he hadn’t gone this one alone. Puppeteered by his stalker, searching for his mother, and debating whether it’s possible to queerbait yourself, Tyler comes to realize that it doesn’t matter so much whether you believe in monsters, if they believe in you.

A slave rebellion brews in the tangled labyrinth of tunnels beneath the city streets. And Crown Prince Ashtaroth, the city’s supposed saviour, is considered unfit to rule even by those closest to him.
When the high priest burns one of the royal children alive as a desperate offering to the city’s absentee gods, it destroys the fragile peace within Qemassen’s scheming first family. Seeking revenge for the death of her child, Ashtaroth’s mother calls on a powerful demon named Lilit.
But Lilit cannot be trusted. Her cruel machinations pit brother against sister and father against daughter, laying waste to Ashtaroth’s family. Then Lilit approaches Ashtaroth with a demonic pact of his own-one that could save his people and his home. For in a life of freedom, one can be trapped without relief. For in a life of servitude, one can find unexpected freedom.
Donum – The Gift Maxime Jaz
Coming home with his legion, Commander Marius receives an unexpected gift when he stops at a countryside noble’s estate for a celebration party. That gift is Kyle, a young Celt, captured by the Romans years ago, and used for pleasure by his callous owner.
Marius quickly takes Kyle to Rome, utterly clueless about what to do with him. To Marius’ dismay, the young Celt is terrified, even after having escaped his cruel owner.
In truth, Kyle doesn’t know what to expect from Marius, either.
Despite all odds, including Marius’ flaming temper and unpredictable nature, and Kyle’s haunting past affecting his every waking moment, love blooms between the two men who find themselves up against the scheming nobles of Rome, and Marius’ inevitable duties to his ambitious father, and conniving family.
As they begin to fall deeper and deeper in love, even greater obstacles block their path, leading to some desperate decisions. Can Marius’ and Kyle’s love survive despite the odds against them? Or will the might of Rome grind them into oblivion?
For in a life of freedom, one can be trapped without relief. For in a life of servitude, one can find unexpected freedom.
Please note:
This book’s story is set in Ancient Rome, loosely based on the times during Trajan’s reign. However, the emperor and all the characters are fictitious, and do not reflect real historical events of those times.
Despite a thorough research has been put into this book, “Donum” is not a historical fiction, but rather a queer romance set in a historical setting, depicting fictitious events.
The language of the book does not reflect the language used during ancient times.
Roman names have sometimes been adapted to fit the story, and some of them are purely fictional.

What does it mean to love someone too late? What does it mean to be you when you don’t live in your own body anymore?
Infernas West Ambrose
Dante Alighieri, amateur grifter and recent college graduate, has no plans for the Summer after his senior year, except to finally have sometime off and relax. After several months in New York City, he strikes up a deal with Virgilio “Virgil” Eco Olivares, carefree and semi-well known writer on a visa always almost expiring : a two-week trip to Italy together to find their old bodies to beat those reincarnation blues.
A journey that was meant to be about reconnecting with past lives and recovering what was lost in ancient times suddenly turns to peril. With danger at every corner and turbulent emotions running high, relaxation is quickly thrown out the window. In this satirical work of verse-novel, the trip of a lifetime leads to daunting revelations about Italian-American culture and the Western canon’s perspective of literature, fraught with raising important questions about cultural collectivism and the complicated intersection between race, sexuality, disability, age, and gender identity under Capitalism. While in transit, the important personal questions revolving around both Dante and Virgil’s present lives still persist– a truth that neither is ready to confront:

At long last, the turn of the season was here. Finally, Nexi thinks with a shard of hope and a pound of dread weighing down their heart.
With the equinox fast approaching, the Ravens have begun prepping for their mating season while the Wolves train for the return of their long lost kin. Though Eshe, a Wolf, is looking forward to the yearly ritual as a first-time participant, they’d much rather spend their season with Nexi, their childhood Raven friend.
Nexi, ever proud of their secrets, fears Eshe discovering their true nature, but longs for them regardless. Would another year pass before the two could express their shared yet silent longings? Or would the changing season demand a change in them as it does the rest of the forest?
Pack for Ravens is a supernatural shifter romance novelette with body horror, eroguro, unwanted courtship, possession, combat, mutual obsession and more.

A knight’s oath isn’t something that should be given lightly.
A Corruption of Souls Taylor Hubbard
“A knight’s oath isn’t something that should be given lightly.”
Deklyn Delonir, Captain of the Order of the Redemptor and Knight of the Hawkeron Kingdom, has spent his entire life serving his goddess and realm to earn redemption for his past sins. Everything he does is in service to his King and the people under his protection and leadership. For his entire life, Deklyn pushed away the deepest desires of his heart, burying them and praying that they never come to the surface.
When his King calls on him for the most important job of his career, one that would put an end to a war against an unknown enemy simply called The Corrupted, Deklyn doesn’t think twice before readily accepting it. Once the job is completed, the war will end and the people Deklyn swore an oath to serve will be safe and the bloodshed will end.
Crown Prince Kai of Hawkeron has never known what freedom feels like. Everything has been lain before him before he was born. Swayed by the whims of a fate outside of his control and duty that is inescapable, Kai doesn’t know who he is. Kai is a political entity, used for his father’s gain.
When his father calls on him to fulfill his duty as the Crown Prince, Kai knows he is defeated. He will be sent to a neighboring kingdom to marry its princess to create an alliance that will provide his father’s military with the resources needed to put an end to the war they waged against The Corrupted. Knowing that his failure to complete his duty would lead to the deaths of many people and the annihilation of the Hawkeron Empire, Kai resigns himself to his fate.
As Deklyn and Kai travel together, they quickly learn that through the struggles they face and the desires that come to the surface, they are more than their duty. As secrets about The Corrupted come to light, they must come to terms with their fate while grappling with the very real fact that they are falling for each other. With the fate of their homeland in the balance, Deklyn and Kai must choose between duty and desire.

After an abusive marriage kept Justine away from them for ten years, she’s returning to New York City a changed woman—and with the assassin she loves in tow.

Everything comes to a head the night Justine and Campbell touch down in New York. Their friend Sofia is kidnapped by her Mafia relatives and held for ransom. The trade? Her life for that of a vicious mob boss. And the clock’s ticking. Two warring vampire families must set aside their differences to solve the disturbing mystery of a cursed house.
No one has been able to set foot in the D’Arcy family’s ancestral home for the last twenty years. The family was forced to relocate, and the only place they could find was close to their rival family, the Kanes. Proximity and years of anger have brought the situation to a boiling point, and it’s only so long before all-out war ensues.
As a last attempt at peace, the Kane patriarch sends the witch Elio to help one of the D’Arcy sons try to unravel the house’s mysteries. The only problem? Elio and Valerian D’Arcy hate each other. Years of mediating for their families have left them embroiled in a bitter rivalry, and unable to trust each other.
Elio only accepted the offer because his real mission is to find any vulnerability in the D’Arcy family to exploit. Finding a weakness in Valerian should be easy, but Elio’s priorities shift to survival as the house traps them inside and starts playing deadly tricks on them.
Elio and Valerian must rely on each other as the house tests them and drives them closer than either one of them could have imagined. As they face threats neither one of them could have imagined, Elio and Valerian become entangled in deadly desires with dire consequences. Their relationship will be changed forever, if they make it out alive.

A young, queer Palestinian American woman pieces together her great-aunt’s secrets in this sweeping debut, confronting questions of sexual identity, exile, and lineage.
The Skin and Its Girl Sarah Cypher
In a Pacific Northwest hospital far from the Rummani family’s ancestral home in Palestine, the heart of a stillborn baby begins to beat and her skin turns vibrantly, permanently cobalt blue. On the same day, the Rummanis’ centuries-old soap factory in Nablus is destroyed in an air strike. The family matriarch and keeper of their lore, Aunt Nuha, believes that the blue girl embodies their sacred history, harkening back to a time when the Rummanis were among the wealthiest soap-makers and their blue soap was a symbol of a legendary love.
Decades later, Betty returns to Aunt Nuha’s gravestone, faced with a difficult decision: Should she stay in the only country she’s ever known, or should she follow her heart and the woman she loves, perpetuating her family’s cycle of exile? Betty finds her answer in partially translated notebooks that reveal her aunt’s complex life and struggle with her own sexuality, which Nuha hid to help the family immigrate to the United States. But, as Betty soon discovers, her aunt hid much more than that.
The Skin and Its Girl is a searing, poetic tale about desire and identity, and a provocative exploration of how we let stories divide, unite, and define us—and wield even the power to restore a broken family. Sarah Cypher is that rare debut novelist who writes with the mastery and flair of a seasoned storyteller.

A sinister magical plot could destroy order in the Nine Monarchies. Foiling that plot could destroy something even more precious.
The only seer born to the bird folk in seven generations, Fionn has spent his entire life in an impenetrable, remote abbey, learning to control his visions and to heal the sick. He has never met his parents, has never even seen another of his people, and has never known anything beyond the strict order within the abbey walls.
When Kiernan, the half-human son of the forest Sidhe, is sent on a secret mission to the abbey, he finds himself trapped within the walls. He is blinded, weakened, and stripped of his magic—and forced to rely on seer-healer Fionn for everything. To the Sidhe, the bird folk are lesser beings, thought to be barbaric and barely civilized. Wilderwood is a fantasy/romance book with some violent and sexual elements. The story features a polyamorous, queer romance between three consenting adults.
Wilderwood Halli Starling
“They say we are born, not made, as vampires. Created vampires are feral, ruthless killers who desire blood above all else. Those who are born into this fate have better control and thus are civilized. That we are only brutal if we choose to be. And so because we have free will, we are more like the humans and the other creatures with souls. I have never once felt human, or like anything else. I know what I am, and it is because of that feeling, and because of the marks on my flesh, that I stand steadfast in my cause.”
Wilderwood is a haven for those who have been cast out of “proper” society: academics, artists, the eccentrics and undesirous. It is also home to other kind and having weres, mages, and even an ancient griffin living amongst mortals just isn’t done.
Except in Wilderwood.
Octavia Wilder cares for those who live in the town her ancestor built and when a feral vampire threatens the peace, she partners with the Ranger who has brought word of the threat.
Ranger Roderick Arman hunts Corbin Luther, the feral vampire who killed his partner two years ago. When Luther’s trail leads him to the odd little town of Wilderwood, he quickly realizes there’s more to the town – and his hunt – than expected.
Ranger Bellemy Eislen disappeared two years ago when what was to be a quick trip to the Faelands on behalf of the Rangers went entirely wrong. Trapped in another realm, they tirelessly sought a way back to their world. And to Wilderwood and Octavia.
The three of them must fight to save Wilderwood from an invasion from another realm and protect the town from the Faelands Queen.

Little Favors Adik Graves
He would have no embarrassing secrets. He would be perfect.
Liu Xiaokai does everything he is told. He listens to his parents. He’s a clever businessman. He’s the city’s most eligible bachelor. All he has left to do is prove that he’s the perfect son–that he’s worth becoming his father’s heir. That he’s nothing like his older brother, who abandoned the family. And then that older brother comes home.
He will make his father pay for what he did to him.
Liu Xingyu knows two things: firstly, that he loves his little brother. Secondly, that he hates his father. That’s all that matters. When he first left all those years ago, he was determined to never come back, but after he met a man named Zhang Weiran, he knew there was only one thing he could do: go back home, and tear down everything his father loved.
He won’t let them get away with it.
Zhang Weiran has had only one thing on his mind since he was a child: fulfill his parents’ dying wish and get revenge on the organization that killed them. And it just so happens that his friend and unrequited love Liu Xingyu is not only deeply connected to this shadow organization–he also wants them gone just as badly as Weiran does. Now the only thing they disagree on is Liu Xingyu’s suspicious little brother.

The era of magic was once thought to be a myth, but after the Reemergence ushered forces both dark and light into the mundane world, it has since become a harsh reality. Now those affected by this strange power—a specialized group of Empowered called Jokers, known collectively as Cardplay—must protect their world from the darkness that threatens to consume it, all the while fighting for equality in a society clinging to normalcy.
But the Reemergence was only the beginning.
When another influx occurs on the seventh anniversary of that fateful event, an unfortunate encounter at ground zero lands Iori Ryone, a teenage boy in possession of a corrupt and legendary magic, in the care of recent Joker graduate Ellen Amelia Jane. From him, she learns the Reemergence may not have been the inevitable natural disaster it first seemed.
Someone is trying to tear down the barrier that separates the magical realms from the mundane. The question is, can Cardplay stop them before it’s too late?

Continued from Everything Is Wonderful Now…
After the angel that threatened his life, Sean faced his frightening alter, Vexis, who haunted his dreams. With the help of Byleth, Zagan, and Darokin, he thinks his troubles are finally behind him. Little does he know that PTSD is a beast lying dormant in waiting to emerge. It ends up influencing everything, including the way he perceives reality.
Vexis was the reason Sean remained in a trauma loop for so long, but something changes within them as they decide to finally work with him; they want to help him heal from trauma after years of prolonging it. Being a sadist who is unable to feel love, it results in a twisted and sexual masochistic relationship that Sean becomes addicted to.
As Vexis takes Sean through various liminal space voids and dark memories — theirs included — they reveal that they are something much more frightening and ancient than an angel or a demon.

My Lord L.B. Shimaira
“You try to comfort yourself with visions of events that didn’t happen, but that doesn’t mean that what did happen left no scars.”
After losing hearth and home, Meya attempts to escape the traumatic memories by travelling east. In 13th century Tristanja, however, it’s not safe to be alone.
A local slave trader catches wind of the kinless woman and abducts her in the dead of night. Beaten and abused, the now meek Meya is sold to Lord Deminas. He’s known to be cruel, yet becomes strangely protective of his new chambermaid, punishing anyone who dares hurt her. After cutting her to drink her blood, he even uses his own to heal her wounds.
Meya and her paramour wonder if Deminas’ dark secret is why servants regularly vanish, including the lord’s previous chambermaids. However, the two women quickly learn that Lord Deminas isn’t the only danger lurking in the castle’s shadows.

They say he’s a myth…
She belongs in the spotlight…
Drag Me Up R.M. Virtues
They say he’s a myth…
And Hades prefers it that way. He may do all the work, and Zeus may get all the credit, but at least it allows Hades to preserve the one thing he truly cares to have: his solitude. The mere mention of the Wraith of Khaos Falls is enough to keep order, and he is rarely forced to leave the shadows of Casino Asphodel.
She belongs in the spotlight…
And Persephone clawed her way out of Demeter’s shadow to reach it. Now she’s lead in Calliope’s Cirque production but not without great cost, and there is not enough money in the world to pay off the debt accrued for the simple mistake of trusting Zeus. Though it’s easier to ignore the bars when she still has room to fly.
Landing a residency at the legendary Casino Asphodel is everything she trained for. Meeting a man she’d been convinced didn’t exist? She could never be prepared for that. Hades isn’t prepared for her either, but it’s soon evident they’re a force when together. He gives her a soft place to land, and she makes him want to reach for the stars. But when Zeus ups the stakes, they must be willing to go all in, even if it means coming down from the sky. Or stepping into the light.

In fact, Hephaestus is who you call when all the heroes have fallen. Still, he is the best at what he does, strengthening the city’s weaknesses and keeping his feelings out of it. When tasked with Aphrodite’s personal security, it’s easy for him to detach himself from their mutual disdain. Until disdain is no longer the only thing he feels for her.
With their enemies elusive and snakes in their midst, good hearts and sharp wit may not be enough. But he made a vow, and he will keep it. Even if it means turning newfound feelings into newfound strengths and using them as a weapon to protect her.

She never cared about being perfect. And he never cared much about saving himself.
Let Me In R.M. Virtues
She never cared about being perfect.
Raised under Zeus’s self-serving influence, Athena only ever cared about being right. But with Zeus gone and everything changing, it’s been difficult trying to break free of the chains he so expertly secured her in as a girl. Especially when constantly worrying about Dionysos.
And he never cared much about saving himself.
Raised under Hades’ self-sacrificing influence, Dionysos only ever cared about pleasing everybody else. But when the opportunity to prove he’s more than a winemaker presents itself —with the promise of spending more time with Athena— he has no choice but to take it.
In a bid for peace, Athena and Dionysos are sent to an ailing Thassos City to try and strike a treaty. But with war within reach and rules rearranged, wit and charisma may just fall short. But they’ve long since decided that to protect each other, blood is a small price to pay. Even their own.

Achilles loved playing the hero… Patroclus loved being one… But being a hero was nothing like playing one.
Love Me Now R.M. Virtues
Achilles loved playing the hero…
Being a mere man had never been enough for him. He wanted to be a great one. And when he finds out that Helen, his childhood best friend, has gone missing, taking the mission is instinct. Even if it meant returning to the place he was born and raised, a place he swore never to return to —Heraklion.
But he goes nowhere without Patroclus.
Patroclus loved being one… But being a hero was nothing like playing one.
It was a senseless sequence of pyrrhic victories he’d carry forever. Yet when Achilles needs him to return to Heraklion and the arena he had been forced to claw his way out of, he says yes because… well, of course he does. He would follow Achilles anywhere.
Yet both had left more of themselves in Heraklion’s notorious arena than they’d taken. So returning would not require heroes but something else, something worse, especially when Helen is not the only one in need of rescue. They both must determine not only what it means to be a man, but what it means to be a good one.

The killer can only have been after one thing: the Sisyphus Formula the two of them developed together, which might one day reverse death itself. Hoping to lure the killer into the open, Hayden steals the research. In the process, he uncovers a recording his father made in the days before his death, and a dying wish: Avenge me…
With the lab on lockdown, Hayden is trapped with four other people—his uncle Charles, lab technician Gabriel Rasmussen, research intern Felicia Xia and their head of security, Felicia’s father Paul—one of whom must be the killer. His only sure ally is the lab’s resident artificial intelligence, Horatio, who has been his dear friend and companion since its creation. With his world collapsing, Hayden must navigate the building’s secrets, uncover his father’s lies, and push the boundaries of sanity in the pursuit of revenge.

Veil Us in Gold Shepard DiStasio
Find a weapon lost to myth, and Drake can save the world.
Find a creature lost to war, and they can save themself.
Drake Elýnus was never supposed to be in Tārāmen. They were never supposed to be working for Tārāmen’s royal family. They were never supposed to do the things they’ve done. But Drake hasn’t stood a chance since the day their home was burned to the ground, the boy they loved was executed in front of them, and wayward magic cast them into a life of lonely immortality far from anything they’d ever known. All they have is revenge.
But when the culmination of their efforts backfires into a death sentence, their only hope is to make a deal with the very queen they tried to ruin.
The world around Drake is unraveling. Whispers of ancient monsters bubble beneath the surface. Fights escalate on the borders of a country that has not been its own in fifty years. Treaties are no longer worth any more than the blood they were written in. And a mysterious general they all call the ‘White Rose’ is apparently the face of it all.
With the gilded gold of society finally peeling, Drake might have a chance to escape—but only if they confront who they were truly supposed to be.
The first book of the Sins of the Divine series and DiStasio’s debut, Veil Us in Gold explores what it means to be good, the secrets people will do anything to keep hidden, and the monsters that prowl not only in shadows, but inside hearts as well.

Started as a way to explain to eir family what it means to be nonbinary and asexual, Gender Queer is more than a personal story: it is a useful and touching guide on gender identity—what it means and how to think about it—for advocates, friends, and humans everywhere.
Gender Queer: A Memoir Maia Kobabe
In 2014, Maia Kobabe, who uses e/em/eir pronouns, thought that a comic of reading statistics would be the last autobiographical comic e would ever write. At the time, it was the only thing e felt comfortable with strangers knowing about em. Now, Gender Queer is here. Maia’s intensely cathartic autobiography charts eir journey of self-identity, which includes the mortification and confusion of adolescent crushes, grappling with how to come out to family and society, bonding with friends over erotic gay fanfiction, and facing the trauma and fundamental violation of pap smears.

The story of a group of contemporary characters struggling with the conflicting claims of love and inheritance, hope and despair.
The Hours Michael Cunningham
A daring, deeply affecting third novel by the author of A Home at the End of the World and Flesh and Blood.
In The Hours, Michael Cunningham, widely praised as one of the most gifted writers of his generation, draws inventively on the life and work of Virginia Woolf to tell the story of a group of contemporary characters struggling with the conflicting claims of love and inheritance, hope and despair. The narrative of Woolf’s last days before her suicide early in World War II counterpoints the fictional stories of Samuel, a famous poet whose life has been shadowed by his talented and troubled mother, and his lifelong friend Clarissa, who strives to forge a balanced and rewarding life in spite of the demands of friends, lovers, and family.
Passionate, profound, and deeply moving, this is Cunningham’s most remarkable achievement to date.

Oscar Wilde’s only novel is the dreamlike story of a young man who sells his soul for eternal youth and beauty.
The Picture of Dorian Gray Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde’s only novel is the dreamlike story of a young man who sells his soul for eternal youth and beauty.
In this celebrated work Wilde forged a devastating portrait of the effects of evil and debauchery on a young aesthete in late-19th-century England. Combining elements of the Gothic horror novel and decadent French fiction, the book centers on a striking premise: As Dorian Gray sinks into a life of crime and gross sensuality, his body retains perfect youth and vigor while his recently painted portrait grows day by day into a hideous record of evil, which he must keep hidden from the world. For over a century, this mesmerizing tale of horror and suspense has enjoyed wide popularity. It ranks as one of Wilde’s most important creations and among the classic achievements of its kind.

The histories of queer thought and LGBTQ+ action in this groundbreaking non-fiction graphic novel.
Queer: A Graphic History Meg-John Barker, Jules Scheele
Activist-academic Meg-John Barker and cartoonist Jules Scheele illuminate the histories of queer thought and LGBTQ+ action in this groundbreaking non-fiction graphic novel.
From identity politics and gender roles to privilege and exclusion, Queer explores how we came to view sex, gender and sexuality in the ways that we do; how these ideas get tangled up with our culture and our understanding of biology, psychology and sexology; and how these views have been disputed and challenged.
Along the way we look at key landmarks which shift our perspective of what’s ‘normal’ – Alfred Kinsey’s view of sexuality as a spectrum, Judith Butler’s view of gendered behaviour as a performance, the play Wicked, or moments in Casino Royale when we’re invited to view James Bond with the kind of desiring gaze usually directed at female bodies in mainstream media.
Presented in a brilliantly engaging and witty style, this is a unique portrait of the universe of queer thinking.
